Ceilings: What 's Up?
Before
After
There's a certain sacrilege to putting paint to beautiful wood surfaces, but I hope to be forgiven in this instance, since my purpose was to enhance its beauty with art. The design was done in gold metallic paint through a single use masking stencil specially sized for the space. It really did warm the room and give it that something special.

This design was inspired by another artist's work that had been rendered on a concrete vertical surface. The designer wanted something similar for his clients new home. The media chosen to render it in was EcoProvence Eco Plaster, one of my favorites for its "green" properties.

Here's I used the paisley design from The Stencil Library rendered in a base of Ebony Lusterstone and embossed with Venetian plaster. This compliments the fabric on the walls as seen below.

Whatever your interior space, don't forget the fifth wall - your ceiling! It can be as inspiring a place as any other in your home or work space.
